Today was the first day of our two day media carousel, which took place in a media classroom, learning about audio. Our class separated into small groups of 4 or 5 students and we were given a script from 'Cat In The Hat'. Within our groups we had to split up the script into speaking parts for each of us. Each group was issued with an audio recorder standing on a mini tripod, and we then went into recording/editing booths to start our recordings. Once in the booths we set up the audio recorder where it was able to pick up all our voices without it going funny. My group did a practice run of the script before recording it so we knew how it was going to go. After we did a practice run, we recorded the script. We had to record it a few times so we could see which one we liked best. Then we uploaded the recording to the computer to start edit it via Adobe Audition. In our recording one of our voices was rather loud so using adobe audition we could highlight the section and turn it down so all our voices were the same volume. We could also add some type of music behind our voices. During this day I learnt a lot about audio and how to edit it.

Wednesday

The second day of our media course was to shoot an advert in the media studio. A great opportunity for our class to have, unfortunately I didn't get to take part in this as I was off college due to illness.
